Description
1939 German Iron Cross, First Class. Made of the usual, three piece, iron and nickel/silver plated alloy construction Excellent condition. The obverse features a swastika in the center of with the date 1939 below. The plain reverse has a solid, soldered hinge, a broad, tapering vertical pin and original catch all intact. The pin is marked with the stamped manufacturer’s numerical code, “65”, indicating that this was made by Klein & Quenzer of Idar/Oberstein. One of the more difficult makers to find.
