This off-white, protoplastic badge measures 41 mm in diameter. It was issued in 1939 during a sport and military competition held by the SA in Bavaria. The condition is good and the original pinback is present and attached. The surfaces show some dirt but no other issues. SA was the abbreviation for the German “Sturmabteilung” (Storm Detachment), more commonly known as the “Brownshirts” — the enforcers for the Nazi Party. The front shows the SA insignia at bottom and a vertical sword in front of a Swastika within a wreath.
